Over 15 years of experience in commercial and residential architecture and design in Shreveport-Bossier City and South Louisiana. Has helped manage major commercial projects and renovations in the area, as well as provided contract design services to several local firms. Chris is currently completing his licensure and plans to continue helping develop the Northwest Louisiana and greater Arklatex region with Somdal Associates. 

Chris specializes in high-end residential, commercial, and ecclesiastical architectural design with a Spirit of Southern living.  

He lives in Shreveport with wife, the Honorable Emily S. Merckle, and their two wonderfully mischievous children, Mary-Hallie and Wright.

Chris is a member of St. Mark’s Cathedral, the Krewe of Justinian, the Cotillion Club, and the Demoiselle Club.
