Shreveport, Louisiana

This three-story addition was an extensive healthcare project designed by Somdal Associated to physically and programmatically connect to the existing Christus Highland Hospital, along with renovations to the first and third floors. The addition included new floors dedicated to a cancer treatment center, a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and labor and delivery services, accommodating a wide range of patient care and facility support functions.

This project utilized a structural steel frame with composite galvanized floor systems to seamlessly integrate with the existing structure. Extensive unitized curtain wall and aluminum storefront systems define the exterior, complemented by a stucco finish that aligns with the hospital’s existing architectural language.
